Walls is not romance. Having noted that, what I can tell you about this steamy little tale of 25 pages is
that it is a gem of a
story richly told, featuring some of the most graceful evocative prose I've encountered in quite a while.
Right from the first words of this tale you are pulled deeply into the character's world, one of steamy
summer heat, uninhibited desire and unchained passions.
The sexual scenes are detailed without being vulgar, the words the author uses flowing like warm honey
across your mind to create a memorable image of a beautiful, self assured young woman.
Well done, Ms. Midway. I highly recommend this short story to people who love a good erotic tale that is
not bound by the restraints of the romance genre.

Bridget Midway may be a noteworthy author for fans of Zane or any other authors (in)famous for putting
out raunchy tales of African-American women looking for sex and love in all the wrong places. Walls is
not a work of romantic erotica because there is no romantic element in this story. It's an outright sexual
fantasy, often rude, crude, and raunchy, with a heroine who has an upfront and casual attitude towards
sex.
Instead, Bridget Midway chooses to introduce a twist that, while not exactly unpleasant, effectively has
this interesting potential romance being nipped in the bud. This twist means that readers looking for a
romantic story in Walls will be very disappointed. What it does offer though is a heroine whose sass and
often sardonic sense of humor will appeal to some and turn off other readers. If you like a quick read in-
between Zane books, Walls may just be the thing for you.

There are some tales that simply MUST be told in the first person, and Ms. Midway's delightfully
irreverant style makes Walls one of them. The hot, hot sex mixed with a refreshingly realistic splash of
humor had me squirming. Don't miss this one!
Review from Carrie White with One Reviewer:
Walls was pleasurable and a joy to read. Not only was the description superb but the action was strong,
passionate and expertly related. Even though it’s described as a romance I would say that this was
erotica at its best. It has everything that you could ever wish for. Even the ending came as an
interesting surprise! The lead up to the action was slow, but rewarding, teasing the reader with snippets
of what was to come.
If you buy one book this summer, then definitely make it Bridget Midway’s Walls. It’s guaranteed to get
your pulses racing if nothing else!

OMG- it totally blew me away - it was so good!!! Very different -almost like literary erotica. In a word,
WOW!
I'd say it's 5 kiss worthy. And you know I'm very picky about a 5 kiss reviews.

Ms Midway does an excellent job of weaving a story full of passion and fire all within the boundaries of a
single tryst. The story shows that we all have walls of some sort built around us and occasionally we run
into people who can either tear those walls down or add more to them, all depending on our own
perception.
The story moves at a nice pace and the characters are well developed. I highly recommend this one if
you’re looking for a fast pace story, full of hot scenes and a nice little unexpected twist. This is the first
story I’ve read by Ms Midway and look forward to reading more in the future. She has a good strong
voice and a way with detail. Excellent job.

I bet Bridget Midway was the kid that every other kid in English class hated to go after because they
knew their stories would pale in comparision. Her A's were guaranteed to ruin the curve for the rest of
the class.
Bridget Midway's short story "Walls" (Phaze) reminds readers exactly what erotica is about. Sex, plain
and simple. Her heroine loves it when it's done with finesse and with a man with a clue. Endures it with
those that don't and fantasizes about it with Carl, the man she's been stalking at the diner for some time.
Written in the first-person, you know exactly how the unnamed heroine feels and what she thinks about
men, sex and being real about how you feel. In the time that it takes to get away from your family while
they watch some syndicated sitcom for the umpteenth time, I devoured "Walls." The writing was as to
the point, pull-no-punches as its heroine. Walls left me as the reader dumbfounded. My jaw hanging
open speechless, but for reason that most of you would not expect. Yes, it was all that the genre should
be, but better than that, it had an ending that was not only unpredictable, but that left me screaming at
Ms. Midway's cunning.
Available for download through e-publisher Phaze, "Walls" is well worth the money and time spent. I
eagerly await Bridget Midway's first full length mass market paperback, I'll be among the first readers
running to the bookstore to purchase it.

The opening line was priceless. I absolutely loved it. This book was extra hot. It was tantalizing to the
senses. A trip to the diner has never been so much fun. The fact that I didn’t know as much about the
characters disconnected me at first, then I realized it added an air of mystery. One major complaint
about this book: it ended too soon. I want more!

Forget about sentiment and pretty words of flattery. Bridget Midway's erotic, first-person short story
from Phaze is blunt, electrifying and unselfconscious; so much so that achieving ultimate satisfaction is
of more concern than tripping over certain taboos or so-called moral boundaries. Walls, in effect, is a
prime example of the seductive promise found in passing pleasures -- or to be more accurate, guiltless
pleasures.
It'll certainly put the sizzle back into one's e-book reader...And to think Ms. Midway's writing career is
only just beginning. Pretty soon, she'll have readers of erotica climbing up the walls and clambering for
more of her special, no-holds-barred, bluntly explicit, erotic fiction.

Infatuation with a mystery man. A little fantasy. A hot fling. An ending you’d never expect. Walls is a fun
little cerebral tryst.

Bridget Midway has written a very unique and different type of erotic novel. The story is told from
Celeste's point of view. Perhaps, "Celeste may or may not be her real name, for it seems that she just
plucked it out of the air to give to Carl when he asked." Celeste has a bit of a witty attitude, and I
enjoyed her ramblings about men's hands and sexuality in general. Her tale about an experience with
Dr. Wooster made me chuckle quite a bit. If you think men are cruel, you have not heard how negative
Celeste can be about a man who does not live up to her sexual standards. The ending was a bit of a
twisted and unexpected type. I would love to read more about Celeste's sexual escapades!

Walls takes you on an erotic journey that is both hot and tempting. A walk inside the mind of a woman
who wants to feel the power of hard hands on her body. From her tale of an unsatisfying encounter, to
the ultimate, Walls is one story you will have to complete. You become the dreamer in this story, and it
is quite rewarding. I loved this quick hot read, and recommend it to all lovers of erotica.

Midway presents an arousing story that enchants the reader with an edge of suspense. Told in first
person, the extra-short tale is rather unusual, with an unexpected ending.

Peel back the first page and what do you get? Wow, very erotic. I enjoyed "Celeste's" character
because she was the type of person who tells it like it is without being afraid of being too direct. Her
humor is what drew me into her character. I always love humor in anything that I read but this character
had that sarcastic sense of humor which makes me laugh every time. The scenes were very hot and I
loved how the characters reacted to each other on a very primitive level. Towards the end of the story,
it blew my mind. I did not see the twist coming and was very surprised by the ending. Bridget Midway is
my kind of erotic writer--sharp, humorous, witty and an all around great! I will definitely add more of her
works to my TBR list, and recommend that you do the same.
