Reviews of "Adam and E-V-E"
From Mae-Ann Powers, author of Sweet Seductress and winner of the first Phaze One
Writing Contest:

“ADAM and E.V.E.” is one galactically lusty story for a debut novella! Hey, playing futuristic cops and
robots couldn’t get better than in this sexually charged space romps than this fantastic book by Bridget
Midway.  Mix a kick-ass drop-dead gorgeous cyber-babe with a hunky army stud and you’ve got a mind-
blowing nova-burning novella that just won’t stop.  Get your space-jets turned to super-turbo, ‘cause
Ms. Midway isn’t leaving this galaxy with out making your blood turn up a heat notch or two.

Bridget Midway packs this short tale with sizzling hot sex, emotion, and a lot of action.  She does an
excellent job of managing to fit a good sense of her future world into such a small space, not an easy
task in a novella of only 14,000 words. Her writing is tight and concise, without losing impact by being
overly-technical.  This story is full speed ahead from start to finish!  A fast, fun and sexy read, with a
touch of science fiction that ties it all together.

This futuristic novella is a short, hot read that will tease as well as please. Both Adam and E-V-E are
typical soldiers who find themselves in an atypical situation. Both hide their true wants under a “we’ll do
what we must to save Earth” mentality. It was fun to watch them discover that while mentally they might
have had contempt for each other, emotionally and physically they wanted and needed each other in
order to be complete. Considering the length of the story, both characters and plot were developed well
enough to grab the reader’s attention. If you’re in the mood for a quick, yet steamy read, sit back, grab
Adam and E-V-E, and enjoy!

Bridget Midway take the reader on quite a wonderful ride with Adam and E.V.E. With steamy sex and
surprise love combines with suspenseful action and unexpected twists to give us a sensory delight.

E.V.E. is an Emergency Violator Equalizer. A human with computer enhancements, E.V.E. is one of a
kind, trained in all forms of combat. Adam has been partnered with E.V.E. He is fully human with a big
resentment for anything resembling robotics. When these two combine though the results are explosive
both on and off the battle field. Watching them learn and grow makes this story so gratifying to read.
Packing a lot of punch into 33 pages, Adam and E.V.E. Is one story you should run out and get.

This is a face pace romance with lots of action and hot hot sexual situations.  Ms Midway certainly
knows how to turn on the heat and kept me turning the pages to discover what happened next.  This is
an excellent short story. The characters are realistic and the flow quick and smooth. The story line is
intriguing and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this tale. I believe anyone that enjoys erotic stories will enjoy
this explicit romance. I look forward to reading more of this authors work.

I thought at first I may not like the story but that all changed as it moved along quickly, and pulled you
into the story. Adam and E.V.E are our main protagonists and as they get involved with each other, you
will get involved with them. Adam decides maybe E.V.E is not that much of a robot and she finds out she
is not the robot she thought she was to begin with. They both discover just because she is enhanced
does not mean she doesn’t feel or think like a woman. Together they set out to save the last remaining
humans on earth from the robots, in a most unusual manner.

The erotica scenes are hot and sensual as the story moves along smoothly. If you are looking for a
good read, this is one you won’t put down.

Adam and E-V-E is a very quick and steamy read. The plot is an interesting one with multiple layers. In
addition to the love story between Adam and E-V-E, there is a struggle for Earth's survival, and also the
story that puts the old adage 'nothing compares to a woman scorned' into great use. The pace of the
story is quick. I found myself so consumed by the story I was reading it too fast and catching myself
because I glossed over some important parts that explain E-V-E, her creators, and her life prior to being
in the army. Adam and E-V-E complement one another very well and their attraction and respect for
one another is nicely written. Their sex scenes are hot and for a story just over 50 pages long there are
quite a few of these highly descriptive scenes. The love story between the two is very nice and sweet.
The author does a great job of showing the gradual change in E-V-E from a robot first, human last to
being a human first and foremost. Ms. Midway demonstrates this well with E-V-E's emotions and
expressions. From when she is first introduce fighting along side Adam she believes her attraction to
him was just her chip malfunctioning (no emotional attachment), next she is trying to explain to him she
is not what he thinks she is when they admit their mutual attraction (some emotion) to finally in the very
last scene where they are in bed together E-V-E is just Eve, lover and partner (acceptance and
expressive emotion). E-V-E's progressive 'humanization' is captured so vividly that it was such a joy to
watch unfurl. The epilogue is a great exclamation point to end Adam and E-V-E with, that you cannot
help but sigh. This is a wonderful short story that is so well written and packs a lot in such a concise well
thought-out story - very well done!

Entrusted with the fate of the last humans on Earth, Adam and E-V-E must battle an evil genius using
sex--or more specifically love--as their most potent weapon. Fast-paced and refreshingly original, Adam
and E-V-E presents a futuristic odd couple battling not only the enemy, but their own prejudices and
insecurities as well. It's a short novel that packs a steamy wallop.

Review from Tewanda Hardy on Road to Romance:

This charming story will capture you from the first word. Ms. Midway has created a wonderful tale of
futuristic love. Adam and EVE are both determined to keep their hearts separate from the passion that
erupts between them. The character development is excellent and you find yourself really caring about
the couple. I enjoyed the story that Ms. Midway tells and will be looking forward to reading more from
her.

Review from Barry Hunter of Baryon-Online.com:

Midway has written a sexually charged novelette that show that a man can overcome his preconceived
notions about cyborgs and love and save the world at the same time. This is a very enjoyable romp in
erotic sf and I’m sure there is more to come from Bridget Midway.

ADAM AND E-V-E is classed as a pulsar (mild language and standard sex/pairings) and a photon
(novella) in the Phaze ratings. This reviewer found the book to be a short and hot read.  Eve begins to
find her human side giving the reader a chance to sympathize with Adam while he tries to understand
the problems with falling in love with an inexperienced woman.  Adam is an alpha male with attitude.  His
sensitive side comes into play only when dealing with the woman he is falling in love with.

Bridget Midway has created a perfect tale for the reader who wants a lust filled plot with substance.
She gives a look into the futuristic world without over analyzing and detracting from the romantic side of
this erotic tale.  This novel is sure to please the sci-fi fans, without leaving the romance lover behind.

ADAM AND E-V-E was enjoyed as a reader and a reviewer and this reviewer will be watching for more
novels coming from Bridget Midway soon!

A true masterpiece. Sexy, stimulating, refreshing and romantic all in one skilfully written story. The
progression of true love that eventually ties the two main characters together is warm and passionate.
Sometimes, as a women, you long for the touch and the love of a man to hold you and wrap you up in
his arms; no man? no problems, just read Adam and E-V-E instead. It certainly does the trick!

Adam and E-V-E is a touching love story with a generous helping of steam. E-V-E believes herself to be
all things robotic, emotions are not a part of her programming. Or so she thinks. As E-V-E struggles with
her newfound emotions and feelings, I feel her confusion. Her innocence is glaringly obvious, making
her more than just a machine; she is all woman. Adam’s desire to have E-V-E as his own at any cost,
overrides his earlier dislike of robotics, when he realizes how much he needs E-V-E . I found myself
cheering them on. Adam and E-V-E have secrets to tell, a villain to stop, sex to be had, and love to be
found. Oh yeah, don’t forget saving the human race. Put all this together and Ms. Midway has penned a
great story! I very much enjoyed Adam and E-V-E.

Adam and E.V.E holds a few firsts. It was the first E-Book I'd read, the first romance erotica I'd read in
full, the first publication for author Bridget Midway, but I am very happy to say, not her last. Bridget
really covered a lot of ground and packs a lot of action into story. The writing is tight and the excellent
dialogue moves the story quickly. This book will always hold a special place in my heart and I highly
recommend it to everyone. Trust me, you will love the shower scene, my husband did!

Adam and E-V-E hits the ground running.  The action opens on the first scene and a very interesting
twist has me giving Bridget Midway kudos for creativity.  While this story seems a bit rushed, it is well
developed and the characters are very likeable.  Adam and E-V-E is a fast-paced, sexy story that I
recommend reading.

We truly enjoyed reading Adam & E.V.E. This story gives an insight into a possible future for our
country- Humans being modified by computer chips to be mass weapons of destruction. I don't want to
tell too much of the short story, but at the rate Ms. Midway is going with it, I think it would make an
AWESOME mini-series. Think Barbed Wire combined with Aeon Flux!

This story caters to those who love sci-fi, action and romance-with this story you can get them all in one

I enjoyed Adam and E-V-E immensely. It was a very complex story with at least three different lines
being interwoven into a steamy romance set in the future.

I loved the story within the story of E-V-E's creators, Dr Urlean and Dr. Tuumlar. The split between them
and Dr. Tuumlar's revenge. The world and the struggle to survive is very good and covered quite well in
these few pages. The play on Adam's and Eve's names is very cute and adds to the storyline.

Adam and E-V-E is one sci-fi, action. romance that had it all in a compact story that I did not put down
until I was finished.
